Growing Together

My thanks to Norfolk Academy, artist Rick Nickle and artist-curator Betsy DiJulio (who made it all happen 😉  for the exhibition ‘Growing Together’.

In lieu of a public opening, canceled due to Covid, I have created a brief walk-through.

  1. Hi D 🙂 – What a nice treat to see your artwork at the end of a long day; seeing all that creativity was soothing. I especially like the large canvases, like murals, you did that are so unique and lovely to view. I like how you said you do not have a preconceived idea for the paintings, but wait for what reveals itself; waiting for the inspiration. I like that kind of creative spontaneity, and listening to what wants to be painted… intuitive painting.

I also enjoyed seeing Rick’s “funky” art! The “pumpkin”onion (the first one looked like a pumpkin to me) was cute, and love his “plant pedestal” (?)

Thanks for taking us on the tour…

    Love, MM
