Prayer for the Great Family
\n(after a Mohawk Prayer)<\/h4>\n

Gratitude to Mother Earth, sailing through night and day\u2013
\nand to her soil: rich, rare, and sweet<\/h4>\n

in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/h4>\n

Gratitude to Plants, the sun-facing light-changing leaf
\nand fine root-hairs; standing still through wind
\nand rain; their dance is in the flowing spiral grain<\/h4>\n

in our minds so be it.<\/em><\/h4>\n

Gratitude to Air, bearing the soaring Swift and the silent
\nOwl at dawn. Breath of our song
\nclear spirit breeze<\/h4>\n

Gratitude to Wild Beings, our brothers, teaching secrets,
\nfreedoms and ways; who share with us their milk;

\ntrunks of trees, through mists, warming caves where
\nbears and snakes sleep\u2013he who wakes us\u2013<\/h4>\n

Gratitude to the Great Sky
\nwho holds billions of stars\u2013and goes yet beyond that\u2013
\nbeyond all powers, and thoughts

As a lover of the earth at my tree farm sanctuary, we have been blessed to capture some great glimpses of our wildlife neighbors as they activate the motion-sensitive camera along the trail.<\/h4>\n
