If you are an Old Friend you may be mindful that on December 21 the North Gate opened to the twelve weeks of winter. The ninety days that make up this natural quarter of the year provide the time to mine the gold deep within YOUR roots. Twelve weeks for reconnecting to yourself, twelve weeks to rest in stillness (even if only for 15 minutes a day),\u00a0 twelve weeks for recreating a deep connection to your fondest dream, twelve weeks for regenerating a relationship with the True Nature of you, twelve weeks for recommitting to something bigger than yourself, twelve weeks to take responsibility to relate to something greater than yourself.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/h4>\n

Stepping through the portal into the new year it makes sense to review <\/span>where you’ve come from since last year at this time. <\/span>(here’s a link<\/a><\/span><\/em><\/strong> to last January with some perennial tools to apply<\/span>)\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Keep in mind that from the winter solstice in December until the spring equinox in late March there is ample opportunity to consider the foundation that you’ve built with your unique creative energy.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

My Short Story<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

I thought it would be interesting to make a list of the major ways in which my creative energy flowed during 2021. The exercise was quite revealing, mainly because I seem to forget and let go as I move forward. The exercise made me thankful that I keep a paper weekly\/monthly planner on my desk. This calendar allows me to turn a page, see what happened last week, turn a page toward what is being visualized three months from now. It was helpful to sit down and flip through the 52 weeks of 2021 and to make a note of those accomplishments<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/em> that could have easily been forgotten in the rush forward. The word rush is important here. We tend to move quickly from here to there. I intend to remind myself and you that life is not in a hurry. It’s worth repeating: <\/span><\/h4>\n

LIFE IS NOT IN A HURRY<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

I have learned this valuable lesson often and beautifully. Primarily, <\/span>beginning in 1989, <\/span>by tracking my projects and interests in rhythm with the cycles of the seasons and the phases of the moon.\u00a0 It is beneficial to keep in mind that nature has a pace that is akin to a crawl rather than a sprint.\u00a0 My experience as an artist has taught me this lesson as well as time and time again during my eleven years tending our 50-acre tree farm retreat land.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In 2022 the Global Creative Energy is primarily addressing relationships and your personal ability and responsibility to align with your inherent dual nature, scroll back up and take in the tree image in our Yin\/Yang symbol. At this time in the natural circadian year, we tend our roots…we sink deep within…even if only for 15-minutes a day.<\/span><\/h4>\n

2022 offers the opportunity to engage the body’s brain by dropping down into your Orenda, the womb-cave, the gut. <\/span><\/h4>\n

Go there first! Go there to invest in stillness, receive insight, download information, and become enthused by the hunches that will create a pace true for you. No rush. No worry.<\/span><\/h4>\n
