Lines Written In The Days Of Growing Darkness<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Every year we have been<\/span><\/em>
\nwitness to it: how the<\/span><\/em>
\nworld descends<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

into a rich mash, in order that<\/span><\/em>
\nit may resume.<\/span><\/em>
\nAnd therefore<\/span><\/em>
\nwho would cry out<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

to the petals on the ground<\/span><\/em>
\nto say,<\/span><\/em>
\nknowing, as we must,<\/span><\/em>
\nhow the vivacity of what was is married<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

to the vitality of what will be?<\/span><\/em>
\nI don\u2019t say<\/span><\/em>
\nit\u2019s easy, but<\/span><\/em>
\nwhat else will do<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

if the love one claims to have<\/span><\/em>
\nfor the world be true?<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

So let us go on<\/span><\/em>
\nthough the sun be swinging east,<\/span><\/em>
\nand the ponds be cold and black,<\/span><\/em>
\nand the sweets of the year be doomed.<\/span><\/em><\/h4>\n

tries to save us from madness<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/h4>\n
