Welcome to the art\/life trail!<\/span><\/h4>\n

~ I\u2019m so happy that you are here ~<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

As we move along the art\/life path\u00a0this is the time of year to literally imagine that we are riding into the sunset\u2026facing West together<\/strong>. <\/span><\/h4>\n

\"\"<\/h4>\n

Not the classic \u2018The End\u2019 scene; the curtain isn\u2019t falling yet, there is a definite shift happening.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Now conditions are actually meant to be\u00a0wonderfully challenging.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>There\u2019s a wobble taking place and\u00a0for those of us investing and subscribing to all-out commitment\u2026blazing the trail of the art\/life\u2026the trail can feel a bit bumpy right now.<\/span><\/h4>\n

\u00a0The art\/life might be defined as:\u00a0any direction that allows your true nature and deepest widest, (read that as wildest) passion to be experienced, expressed, created and contributed<\/em>.<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Let\u2019s look toward the West Gate on our yearly wheel which the Fall Equinox opens and makes accessible for our entry.<\/span><\/h4>\n

First; a short review of where we\u2019ve come from: the spring (East) and summer (South) are by nature all about\u00a0doing a lot<\/strong>\u2026picture flat out\u00a0driven-to-achieve<\/em><\/strong>.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The half of the\u00a0year we\u2019ve just experienced is appropriately dominated by left brain attributes.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Naturally we strive to be equal parts Yin and Yang. It can be evolutionary to get in sync with where balance happens, to learn to see, sense and feel the ways that it visits your art\/life.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The left brain masculine side of the cranium needs its time to\u00a0make it happen;<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0problem solve, be proactive and assert in the direction of visualized strategies and goals. In our northern hemisphere a whole lot happens in the 12 weeks of\u00a0spring and summer.\u00a0During those two quadrants the primary energy is Yang\/Masculine\u2026outer directed. The spring\/summer are led by the left brain which rules the right side of the body. The masculine side\u00a0serves us well and shows us that it does no harm to creatively engage in the dance of stepping up and stepping out during the spring and summer quadrants of the Natural Year.<\/span><\/h4>\n

In ten days we begin the \u2026<\/span><\/h4>\n

Turn Turn Turn Inward<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The turn through the West Gate at\u00a0Fall Equinox is a time to re-member\u00a0the power and the potential of actively making a break from the long-season-of-doing. <\/span><\/h4>\n

The dominating part of our thinking needs to rest now. <\/span><\/h4>\n

We\u2019ve been busy, so busy\u00a0moving outward over the past six months.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Pause to breathe\u00a0and conceive<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Here at the West Gate you will\u00a0see, looking back at you, a more naturally nurturing part of your self.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Here you\u00a0catch the feel of\u00a0a vast expansive uncharted, wild, territory beckoning to you\u2026come in\u2026put your nose to the earth, shake off the heaviness of always needing to DO and begin to wander and trust your instincts<\/em><\/strong>. <\/span><\/h4>\n

The Feminine\/Yin\u2026inward turn goes in\u00a0and also down<\/em>. Down into the roots of where you come from and who you have now become. <\/span><\/h4>\n

Open the Gate<\/span><\/h4>\n

The shift toward the Underworld is by its nature\u00a0disconcerting; ripe with trepidation and even attendant with aggravation. It’s a time of energy shifting. It’s a time of some discomfort and restlessness.<\/span><\/h4>\n

What tools are in place to support your ability to calm down?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

How\u00a0eager are you to stop the rush and hush the frenetic parts?<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

After all, we\u2019ve been working so hard! We\u2019re just beginning to get traction! We don\u2019t want to let go of that feeling of control!<\/span><\/h4>\n

OPEN TO RECEIVE<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

The real gift of the West Gate, this point on the yearly art\/life trail ride, is that you\u00a0can relax into less \u2018knowing\u2019. You can rest in\u00a0the arms of unexpected gifts. <\/span><\/h4>\n

Review what\u2019s been growing through all the spring and summer of Doing. Now you can begin to slow it down and get reacquainted with your new self, with the wonder of life and with others sharing the trail with you.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Beautiful reminder: no one has the art\/life figured out and\/or the trail mapped\u2026it’s possible.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The art\/life is\u00a0Mystery<\/strong>\u2026indeed, whenever any one of us rides into wandering and wondering territory we create\u00a0waves in the field that make everything more alive and free.<\/span><\/h4>\n
