All Mother Sentient Beings

Welcome to the art/life trail ride!

We are half way through the Wisdom Moon cycle. At the midpoint of each month we can pause and reflect. This is when you can see your shadow and attend to its needs. Stand outdoors under the Full Moon and you’ll notice what is at other times hidden from view.

The keyword assigned to each 30 Day Challenge supports the power of slowing down and expanding creative focus and intent.

Each thirty day focus opens up a flow of time. The Challenge brings ‘grace to the pace’ rather than maintaining the rat race. Each keyword taps into the intention of a more organic relationship with all living beings as well as keeping your awareness on the spiraling action of the wheel of life. You can review the keywords in the right sidebar. Find the keyword of your birth month. Locate the keyword that is half way around the wheel of the Natural Year. These are your personal gift and challenge…these represent your personal polarity, your stress point, this is where you can create the pearls of wisdom that are yours to share. My creative stress is created by February’s Renewal (my gift) and August’s Trust (my personal challenge). Indeed learning to accept and renew trust is a power tool for me. Where is your powerful creative stress?

Here in the midst of the Wisdom Moon cycle we recieve the gift of honoring Mother.

For Mother’s Day I send out a Buddhist prayer. I send it to you, to your Mother and to her Mother and her Mother’s Mother as well as to the Earth Mother and to all her living beings.

The Four Immeasurables

May all Mother sentient beings,

boundless as the sky

Have happiness and the causes of happiness.

May they be liberated

from suffering and the causes of suffering.

May they never be separated

from the happiness that is free from sorrow.

May they rest in equanimity.

Free from attachment

Free from aversion

Slow Time

Our self-directed 30 day challenges build in power moon by moon. I know the power of this focus. Enlist the focus and support of each of the keywords and witness the ever evolving and uplifting results.

Throughout this year you can forge a new sense of connection. Resolve to become acquainted with ‘slow time’. Make the commitment to get curious about consciously calming down. Experiment for 30 days and notice the change.

At the Full Moon each month you can see your shadow. You may begin to notice the power of setting aside this time to reflect on your darkness. You contain it all. Light and dark. Ups and downs. Good times and bad times.

Here’s a little help in coming into the flow from my friend Lilan Laishley.

I hope that you will take a moment and subscribe to Lilan‘s Full Moon Newsletter…it always arrives when its illumination can do the most good.

Recognizing your shadow will help you to wake up and be real. Learning to be genuine and honest and willing to own the shadowy monsters, dragons and strange beliefs is the foundation for Wisdom.

Start Again

Now is a good time to note how clear you are about the direction you would like to be going between today and summer solstice, June 21. This is the ME quadrant. These 90 days from spring equinox to summer solstice provide ample time to feel the roots that you have cultivated as the new sprouts of this years growth begin to push up and out. This is a very potent time for focus.

2017 is the beginning of a new Global Creative Decade. Each of us can be a pioneer. We can consciously make new choices and notice the life energy that increases as a result.

A new Creative Decade (2017-2027) may feel too. You may not be comfortable with that big a stretch. No worries. As you know here on the art/life trail ride we break time into manageable 90 day, 6 month and 12 month/Natural Year segments. We move toward. We continue. We become aware of what we would like to have come of this time. We frame our movements with the inquiry… ‘What is this time for?’ We engage the 30 day Challenge moon after moon and sense into the power of being a flow*er.

This week on the art/life trail spend time researching what you have to share. Sink deep into the idea of ‘What would be good here?’ and ask, ‘What would love do now?’

Share what you discover with your journal or with a friend. Leave a comment here…we learn from and with one another in ways that expand Wisdom.

See you next time on the art/life trail.
